In essence, the above quotation means an Experiencer can sense things without being in contact with the source of the thing. Not being in contact indicates that it can come from next door or around the Globe, but we perceive it in our minds instantly.

It’s probably fair to say that we all have had experiences at some time, like thinking of someone just before you get a call from them or sensing that someone is staring at you. It’s also not too hard to believe that Nature has developed the ability to experience in us, given that it may provide us with survival information in some cases. The primary purpose of these studies is to determine how and why people have developed the ability to experience.
